Early April, when the birds and the bees are all busily going about their work, most trees are still leafless and there’s lots of spring blooms. When the sun shines, my favourite time of year.

      I like ‘pollinator’ as a catch-all term, it reminds me of the huge importance of insects in all their variety, but I never think to use it.

      1. I used it because I am lazy and it covers all the bases without too much effort. 🙂

        At the moment I’m still a bit shaky and though we have a garden full of subjects I’m struggling with photography.

      I noticed it at around head height above the path, barely moving, and thought I’d give it a try. I didn’t have high expectations!
